Connection, belonging and peer support for Autistic Australians, their families and carers
Improving Social Connections is a new national program designed to strengthen connection, belonging and peer support for Autistic people, families and carers across Australia.
Funded through the Australian Government's National Autism Strategy and delivered by Aspect in partnership with Reframing Autism, the program aims to create safe, inclusive and peer-led opportunities for people to connect with others, share experiences, and build supportive communities.
We will work with Autistic people, families, carers, peer leaders, community organisations and other stakeholders to co-design a national approach to social connection and belonging.
Most importantly, this program will be shaped by the people and communities it is designed to support. There will be opportunities throughout the program for individuals and organisations to contribute ideas, share experiences and help shape future activities.
