To help with the transition to adulthood, Aspect is developing Side by Side, a free online hub of trusted information and structured support for Autistic young people and their families. The program will be launched in November 2026.

Side by Side is co-designed with an advisory team of Autistic youth, parents and researchers, ensuring the program is grounded in both lived experience and contemporary evidence.

What can participants expect?

Side by Side supports young people and their families to explore, understand and plan for life after school. The program will offer:

  • a virtual information hub of pathway options after school with self-guided learning modules (Easy Read version available)
  • online appointments with Autistic peer navigators
  • tailored group sessions and webinars.

Mentor and mentee

“Side by Side is a welcoming place to start your journey into adulthood. Our peer mentors meet young people where they're at and plan with them as they explore their options, build confidence and move forward at their own pace."
