The theme for OT Week (26 Oct to 1 Nov 2026) is Participation Matters, recognising that being able to participate in everyday life is important for our health, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

At Aspect, occupational therapy starts with understanding what matters to each person. Rather than expecting someone to change to fit their environment, our occupational therapists work alongside Autistic people to understand what might be getting in the way of participation and explore practical adjustments to the environment, activity or supports around them.

Participation can look different for everyone. It could mean feeling more confident at work, taking part in an activity you enjoy, managing everyday routines, connecting with others or doing more of the things that are meaningful to you.

Explore our stories and videos below to meet some of our occupational therapists and see what participation can look like in practice.

Looking for an OT role where you can make a difference?

At Aspect, our occupational therapists work alongside Autistic people, their families and support networks to understand each person's strengths, needs and goals and support participation in the things that matter to them.

If you are an occupational therapist looking for your next opportunity, explore what it's like to work at Aspect.
