For Autistic individuals, accessing the community and attending special events can be challenging. However, armed with a greater awareness of neurodiversity, organisations around Australia, such as Sydney Aquarium, The Maritime Museum and The Queensland Ballet, are holding events to create a far more inclusive environment. Some organisations also provide visual stories.

From meeting Santa in a sensory-friendly environment with dimmed lights and low music, to a relaxed performance of The Nutcracker, here is a calendar of some Autism Friendly events coming up over the holiday period.
