Aspect must ensure that workers have the clearances necessary for the role and jurisdiction they work in. Background checks at Aspect include the Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check.
Renewing your background check
These checks have expiry dates and workers are responsible for renewing their check as soon as they are able to, ideally well before the expiry date. Managers are responsible for ensuring their team keep their clearances up to date. Renewed background checks must be sent to PCS Service Centre for processing.
Identity documents required: Each background check renewal process requires identity documents (ID) to complete the application. Workers should familiarise themselves with these ID requirements to ensure they have them readily available during the renewal process. If you have changed your name recently, ensure you have a change of name or marriage certificate to support the application. Your application can be significantly delayed if you do not have the required ID.
