What is our Brilliant Start Supporter program?

It’s our vision that every person on the autism spectrum has the support they need to thrive; every opportunity to fulfil their potential; and a supportive, inclusive community to live in.

Brilliant Start Supporters help make this vision a reality by providing much needed financial support every month, helping us plan and deliver life-changing services long into the future for people of all ages on the autism spectrum.

How does your regular monthly donation support children on the autism spectrum?

The need for autism-specific support services and assessment is growing rapidly. With autism being part of day to day life for over 1 million Australians, the support from our Brilliant Start Supporters has never been greater.

Your generous regular donation can give families with children on the autism spectrum the gift of understanding - the gift they need to give their child a brilliant start in life. You can help children on the autism spectrum to feel included and have the best chance to reach their own, unique potential.

You'll help provide a strong support network for young adults on the autism spectrum

As young people become young adults they seek independence and new responsibilities, but without a strong support network in the community they can struggle. Recurring negative experiences can lead to lack of confidence and sometimes depression.

The challenges faced by young people then compound in adulthood, making employment, relationships, and acceptance in the community difficult. As a result, many adults experience isolation, anxiety and confusion in their everyday lives.

Together we have the chance to break down barriers and create a more inclusive world

Providing the right support requires understanding individual needs, barriers and challenges. Only then can we help people to fully live their lives.

Never before have we been so aware of the challenges facing people on the autism spectrum, and never before have we had the chance to act on this knowledge.
