Autistic Pregnancy and Parenthood Training Modules

Welcome to the Autistic Pregnancy and Parenthood Training Modules, designed to support professionals who work with Autistic people during pregnancy and early parenthood.

These evidence-informed modules are based on co-produced research conducted in Australia. They are freely available to download and use for individual learning or to share within your healthcare team, service or organisation.

Who should complete the training modules?

The training is designed for a wide range of professionals, including midwives, nurses, GPs, obstetricians, allied health practitioners, mental health professionals and others working in perinatal care settings.

What’s included?

The training includes three modules:

Module 1

Enhancing understanding of autism in healthcare contexts

Module 2

Implementing good practice principles in clinical care

Module 3

Integrating lived experience insights into practice

Each module shares research findings, practical strategies and perspectives from Autistic people with lived experience.

By accessing or downloading these training modules provided by Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia), you agree to the following terms:

1. Ownership and Licence

All modules, videos, and accompanying materials (“Resources”) are the intellectual property of Aspect.
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these Resources for educational and internal training purposes only.

2. Permitted Use

You may share these Resources with staff, volunteers, or students within your own organisation.
You may not alter or adapt the materials without prior written permission from Aspect.

3. Prohibited Use

You must not:

Sell, sublicense, or distribute the Resources for commercial gain.
Claim ownership or rebrand these materials as your own.
Upload the modules to publicly accessible online platforms or repositories without written consent.

4. Attribution

You must retain all original branding, logos, and acknowledgements included in the Resources.
If referencing the Resources externally (e.g., in a report or presentation), please acknowledge Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) as the source.

5. Modification or Withdrawal

Aspect reserves the right to update, modify, or withdraw access to the Resources at any time without notice.
