Aspect Northern NSW
Aspect Northern NSW is based in Alstonville and offers specialist information and support services for people on the spectrum and their families. All our services are evidence-informed, based on the latest available research, and on nearly 50 years of experience working with people living on the spectrum and their families,
We provide the following services throughout Northern NSW:
Aspect Northern NSW delivers best practice intervention and support to children aged 0-8 years. Specifically designed to meet the needs of children on the spectrum, it is family-centred, building on each family’s capacity to promote their child’s learning and development.
It is delivered by specialist staff in a transdisciplinary team. Each family works closely with a key worker as part of a team of speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and early childhood specialist educators, all working collaboratively to meet the needs and priorities of each child and family. Families can access funding for the program through the Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package for children up to age 6.
Specialist Therapy Services
Aspect Northern NSW offers Psychology, Speech and Occupational Therapy for people on the spectrum and their families. These services can be accessed with a referral from a GP or Paediatrician and are supported by Medicare and HICAPS. Families with children up to the age of 6 can access funding for the program through the Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package.
