Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect)'s Diagnostic Assessment Service provides
a limited number of specialist assessment and diagnostic services for families
living in New South Wales. Assessments are provided by registered psychologists
working collaboratively with other agencies and specialists.
The Diagnostic Assessment Service provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments
for children suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
This may include:
Use of standardised ASD specific assessment tools
Observation of the child
Interview with parents
Interview with teachers/carers
Developmental assessment
Intellectual assessment
Emotional assessment
Post assessment:
Comprehensive report
Management strategies
Programming suggestions
Feedback to school and other professionals
Reading/reference materials
Referral to appropriate agencies/service providers
Periodic review on request
Fees
Diagnostic Assessment: $750
Includes full day assessment and written report.
Review assessments available upon request.
