Sign up to run in Blackmores Sydney Running Festival to reach your potential and help people with autism reach theirs

The country’s largest not for profit autism service provider has been named an Official Charity Partner for this year’s Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has been involved in the annual event for many years.  This year’s event takes place on Sunday 16th September and it’s the first time Aspect has been honoured with the title of being one of only two Official Charity Partners.

“We’re thrilled with the support  the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival are giving us and I would urge everyone that can, to be involved, whether as a competitor or a volunteer on the day,” said Adrian Ford, Aspect’s CEO.

“It’s always a great day so we are calling on one and all to sign up, grab their gear, get training and help raise money for people living with an autism spectrum disorder.”

“This year’s Festival is on track to reach the 10 millionth dollar raised since the run began, and we hope that many of the funds raised in 2012 are donated to help people living with an autism spectrum disorder.”

More than 35,000 people are expected to take part in this year’s Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.

Participants can choose from four courses including:

• The Sunday Telegraph Family Fun Run/Walk (approx 4km)
The Sunday Telegraph body+soul Bridge Run (approx 9km)
• Blackmores Half Marathon (21.km)
• Blackmores Sydney Marathon (42.2km)
