Each student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and identified priority outcomes may be implemented at individual, small group or whole class/school level with many goals implemented across school/home and community environments.  Aspect’s autism core competency areas focus on Communication, Social Skills, Behaviour and Sensory needs.  All IEP based outcomes are taught in conjunction with the Board of Studies Key Learning Areas: English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Human Society and Its Environment, Creative Arts and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.

Students at the Western Sydney School’s Wetherill Park site, have access to undercover and outside play areas with a variety of equipment available. Students can also access the local shops, which are a short walk/drive away and the local parkland reserve for physical and recreational programs.

The school has recently upgraded its computers and IT network across all sites and has currently three Smart Boards in three classrooms to help further motivate and promote learning opportunities for students.

Classroom staff is supported by a Learning Support Team consisting of the Principal, the School Coordinators/executive staff, School Counsellor (Psychologist), Speech Pathologist, Senior Occupational Therapist and School Clerical staff.  Each class teacher is also supported by a teacher Aide.

The school has an active Parents and Friends group which organises fundraising throughout the school year.
