Aspect.Far.North.Coast.Centre

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is the country’s largest not-for-profit autism specific  service provider. Aspect builds confidence and capacity with people who have an autism spectrum disorder, their families and communities by providing information, education and other services.

The Aspect Far North Coast Centre offers families, carers and service providers:

• Information, support and advice by phone or in person at the Aspect Far North Coast Centre
• Aspect Recipe for Success positive behaviour workshops for families
• Learning programs on autism spectrum disorders for parents and carers
• Aspect Building Blocks® early intervention programs for children aged 0 to 6 delivered in partnership with local service providers or as a home-based service
• Early screening, intervention and support through the Early Childhood Development Program
• Access to the Far North Coast’s Autism Advisor who can link families and carers of children aged 0 to 6 years with approved early intervention service providers and provide advice and information about community services
• Aspect Behavioural Intervention Service for families, carers and service providers who support children, adolescents and adults with autism who have an emerging or current challenging behaviour

The Aspect Far North Coast Centre also provides a range of information sheets and other materials, as well as borrowing access to resources for families, carers and service providers.

Families, carers and service providers can also access other Aspect services through the Aspect Far North Coast Centre including:

• Aspect Educational Outreach to support the ongoing successful integration of young people in mainstream schools
• Aspect Diagnostic Assessment Service for comprehensive, evidencebased assessments for autism spectrum disorders in children, adolescents and adults
