With special thanks to the very generous support of Thomas & Friends™ in Australia, and its owners HIT Entertainment, Aspect is proud to announce the release of the song 'Through my eyes'.
Valerie Foley, a parent of Billy, a child with ASD, combined with her friend Fiona Johnson to write the song ‘Through my eyes’.
The song is an insight into what it is like to have autism
It has been recorded by former finalist of Australian Idol – Thanh Bui. Thanh comes from Melbourne where he works with children in his music school, and has faced a lot of challenges in his own life with his family’s brave decision to relocate to Australia. His Vietnamese heritage is also important as we are hoping to record a Vietnamese translation to link Vietnamese and Australian families who are living with an ASD.
Through My Eyes is available from iTunes. Click Here to purchase. Proceeds from the sale will go to Aspect.
For the closing ceremony of the Asia Pacific Autism Conference (APAC 09) a montage of photos taken by photographer Christopher Shain during the conference was set to the song 'Through My Eyes'.
